Everybody has seen the temple painting in the episode “Serious Steven” We see Rose Quartz in what appears to be a battle. In the episode “Frybo,” When Steven is tuning out Pearl, she explains how the shards were suppose to animate uniforms to be soldiers and follow basic commands. But one day the shards overdeveloped and caused them to turn on their commanders, so the shards must be isolated from garments to prevent creating a monster (exactly how Frybo initially followed instructions, then became monstrous). Maybe that’s what those shards are surrounding the opposing figure. This could be a battle the gems had to fight against the shards. Just a thought…..
Wah :3 I actually found the shirt/dress portion of my first cosplay ever. The collar never stood up, the bias tape was detached in places and poorly measured, there were fray threads everywhere, but my tassels were on point :D.
I dare not try it on, I’ve grown a lot since. Even when I first made it, it was a tad too small and I had no idea how to sew on zippers. I remember having to tear myself out of the pink skirt portion. I didn’t know how to use elastic correctly and got trapped in the skirt. I for sure don’t have the skirt anymore.
It’s things like these that keep me cosplaying. I can see here, from this shabby construction, the progress I have made. I knew this cosplay was falling apart when I made it, but you couldn’t tell me I was not Jam Kuradoberi. I was proud to wear it. It was way out of my sewing level and yet, I still managed to get a costume that very closely resembled hers.
We don’t usually associate looking at shoes with feeling ravenously hungry, but that changed as soon as we set eyes on these mouthwatering cake and ice cream heels handmade by the Shoe Bakery. They may not be edible, but they are completely wearable.
That chuckie is perfect! The shoes really set it off. I'd stop you no matter what I was doing if i saw you at school in that and take a picture if you permitted. You don't know how excited i was when i saw that shirt.
Thank you! I might make this a thing; to wear low key/casual cosplay in public and see what happens. :D
Chuckie Finster! He’s such an awkward kid, much like myself. I’m gonna wear this to class one day and see if anyone notices :) I should be posting a tutorial soon on how to make the shirt.
so, I plan on going to Animenext 2014 and I know next to nothing about it. I made the decision that I wanted to go at about 1:30 in the morning yesterday. If anyone has anything I should know about it or even a link to a cosplay guide, I would love your help!
AnimeNEXT is awesome, very fan-friendly. You can always check their website for any information. They have a great variety of panels and the staff is very helpful. Definitely a great con to attend. You can inbox me if you have any specific questions. :)
